Exotic Veterinary Care in Wayne

Did you know that 50% of the animals we see regularly are exotic pets? With our years of experience in exotic and traditional pet care, we proudly treat rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rats, hamsters, snakes, tortoises and turtles, bearded dragons, geckos, frogs, fish, and any other companion you may have!

Exotic Pet Medicine and Surgery

All our veterinarians have the skills and training to care for exotic pets, often working collaboratively on cases to provide optimal care. From making sure your reptile or small fuzzy creature has the right habitat, to recommendations for a correct diet, to determining gender, our veterinarians can provide a well-rounded plan to keep your exotic pets feeling their best according to their species’ specific needs. And if something isn’t right, we get to the heart of the issue with our extensive lab, in-house pharmacy, and diagnostic tools to get your pet family member back to good health.

Amphibians

Amphibians that we care for at our hospital include frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and axolotls.

Fish and Invertebrates

We will see a variety of freshwater and saltwater species of fish, as well as aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates such as tarantulas, snails, and hermit crabs.

Wildlife Care

Partnered with several wildlife rehabilitator organizations, our hospital has the capability to provide medical care including diagnostic testing and imaging, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Once the medical care is handled, wildlife is returned to the rehabilitator for healing and eventually released back into the wild once their optimal health is restored. Wildlife we take care of has included bald eagles, hawks, owls, bobcat, baby deer, and anything else sustaining an injury in the wild.
